The Plan of Camrose from 1919 does show a dwelling on Lot 15, but teh attached garage on the front of the house is a newer addition. As well, the plan indicates that there was previously a porch across the entire front of the dwelling. (Heritage Collaborative, 2011)

History: H.G. Johnstone remodelled house in 1918. Owned Johnstone Drug, H.U.
Johnstone carried his drug business from 1915 - 1962. In 1941 the Rexall Store was changed to Johnstone's Drug Store.
Possibly: 1st owners: Mr. Fisher following: Ceil Taber lived in it. (Inventory Site Form, 1980)

THis lot was part of Frank Farley's Park Hill Addition in 1907, which included the first and most of the second block on 48 and 49 Streets, south of 48 Avenue.

H.U. Johnstone resided in this house. Johnstone, a pharmacist, moved to Camrose in 1914 and took over the Rexall Drug Store from A.M. Sanders the following year. By 1941 the name of the store had changed to Johnstone's Drug Store. He carried on his drug business with his son Malcolm, a pharmacist and optician, until his death in 1962. Malcolm took over the business upon his fathers' death.

This house was remodelled by H.U. Johnstone in 1918. The Plan of Camrose from 1919 does show a dwelling on Lot 15, but teh attached garage on the front of the house is a newer addition.
